Nicholas Romane Thompson , otherwise known as Nicko Blast, was born in St.Mary, Jamaica. However, he was raised in various areas of Kingston including Water House, Cassava Piece and Molynes Road; where he was exposed to a variety of musical acts both locally and internationally.

Nicko blast was formally a member of AIDONIA lead music group 4thgeneration. He says that his music allows listeners to relate and feel connected, this is what he strives for in his music. As a result, he began to pursue his music career professionally in 2016.

Here’s a new video from dancehall artist NICKO BLAST titled “PROTECT ME”. The song and video depicts the deejay asking for protection from the most high in these dark times.

Since 2016 he has grown as an artist and has worked with labels such as Blackstate , hemton music , Brixton music and many others. He has a variety of songs under his belt including his single “HEAVY ” on the “TWIZTED METAL riddim” , spaceship featuring Pablo YG and many others.

Where does Nicko Blast get all this inspiration from you ask? He grew up listening to musical acts such DMX and Drake ; and later transitioned to popular dancehall acts Popcaan,Movado and Aidonia who is his mentor.
