In this episode, ZJ Liquid shares the incredible story of meeting legendary producer Dave Kelly and dancehall star Baby Cham for the very first time at Madhouse Studios.
ZJ Liquid takes fans inside one of the most important eras in dancehall history and reveals how he witnessed the creation of the legendary Mi Nuh Know Riddim, produced by Dave Kelly for Madhouse Records in 2002. During the session, Dave Kelly played the new riddim and asked for opinions. According to ZJ Liquid, he suggested the name “Mi Nuh Know Riddim”, a name that would become part of dancehall history. The riddim later featured artists including Baby Cham, Chico, Ms. Thing and others.
This episode gives viewers a rare behind-the-scenes look at how classic Jamaican riddims were created and how one studio session could influence dancehall culture forever.
