Today, I was given exclusive private access to one of Canada’s oldest and most haunted prisons, the Historic SDG Jail (Cornwall Gaol) in Cornwall, Ontario. Built in 1833 and operating until 2002, this nearly 200-year-old jail has a dark history of murderers, executions, harsh prison conditions, and unexplained paranormal activity. Five convicted murderers were executed by hanging within these walls, with the final execution taking place in 1954. Even more disturbing, historical accounts suggest that as many as 200 prisoners who died here may have been buried in unmarked graves on the property. With the entire jail to ourselves, we explored the abandoned cells, dark corridors, and execution areas where some of Canada’s most chilling prison history unfolded. Was this place really haunted? Come inside and see for yourself. Check out my friend @BlackCanuk here on YouTube.
